New Season Starts Sept 2! (Wed 20 of Aug, 2008 [17:56 UTC])

Registration for the new swim season is Sept 2-3, 4:45pm at Mulberry Pool. We'll begin the registration process at 4:45pm. White and Whirlpool/Cyclone practices will begin at 5:00pm, and Green/Black practices will begin at 5:45pm. We will have paperwork in the lobby that parents will need to either fill out or update.
Families can print registration forms in advance by selecting "Documents and Forms" at left and then choosing "Registration Forms."
On registration nights, coaches will be placing new swimmers in practice groups and taking a fresh look at returning swimmers.
We will have a try-on set of suits so swimmers can find their appropriate size. This year all team suits can be ordered online without a minimum order, so you can place your order at your convenience.
Parents: Please plan to walk into the pool on registration night so you can turn in or update forms. Thanks and see you at the pool!

Summer Silver Circuit Dates are announced (Fri 30 of May, 2008 [18:43 UTC])

The dates for the summer Silver Circuit events have just been announced (there was a delay due to recent tornado effects). The dates are:
June 4 - Brighton
June 12 - Location TBA
June 18 - Brighton
June 26 - Fort Morgan.
Coach Jackie will have the forms for these events at the pool on Monday June 2.

Opportunity to Swim Estes Park meet (Wed 28 of May, 2008 [20:13 UTC])

The Estes Park Otters are hosting the Tourist Trot Pentathlon on Saturday June 7th. The host team has sent out a note that there are openings for swimmers (also note that they are combining the morning and afternoon sessions and starting at 8 am - this leaves everyone the afternoon to spend in Estes Park or up in Rocky Mountain National Park). If you are interested in swimming this meet please let Coach Jackie know (CoachJackie@teamvortex.org). This is the first meet in Estes Park after their complete refurbishment of their pool.

Vortex will be practicing at Mulberry Pool this summer with the exception of July 14-25, when we will move to EPIC. Please note the new summer schedule:
Black/Green: Mon 5-7:00pm, Tues 5-7:00pm, Wed 5-7:00pm, Thurs 5-7:00pm
White: Mon 5-6:45pm, Tues 5-6:45pm, Wed 5-6:45pm, Thurs 5-6:45pm
Cyclone/Whirlpool: Mon 5-6:15pm, Tues 5-6:15pm, Wed 5-6:15pm, Thurs 5-6:15pm

Join Team Vortex for a Short Course Recognition Party
Saturday, May 24, 11:00am at City Park Pool
We'll meet at 11:00am for a short course recognition event and cake at the shelters near the playground and across from the pool.
We will have cake, recognize our team’s great short course accomplishments, and have some fun time. The pool and slide are scheduled to be open and passes are available for $3.50 (regardless of age). Bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it or just stop by!

FAST meet entry forms due on Wednesday (Tue 06 of May, 2008 [14:06 UTC])

Meet information has just been made available and entry forms are posted for the FAST long course meet, June 20-22. If you want to attend this meet, the forms need to be returned to Jackie by Wednesday, May 7th (that is this week!). If you have any questions about the meet please talk to your swimmer's coach. Entry forms are available on deck and can also be printed by selecting "Calendars" and choosing "Swim Meet Calendar" and scrolling down to find the information and entry form downloads.
